Yan Tomimoto – Principal

Yan has more than 16 years of experience as an executive and a financial consultant in the commercial and residential real estate industries. In 2008, Ms. Tomimoto founded Surry Hills Partners, a consulting firm that specializes in acquisition due diligence and asset management.

Previously, Ms. Tomimoto was the director of finance at Reynen & Bardis Communities (R&B), a $1 billion residential real estate builder and developer in Sacramento and Reno, where she worked closely with the CFO to secure financing for a multitude of development projects.

Ms. Tomimoto has also been an acquisition and development analyst at Legacy Partners, a commercial real estate development company at which she was responsible for underwriting and executing real estate transactions and joint venture investments in excess of $500 million. Prior to her tenure at Legacy Partners, she also underwrote more than $500 million in assets, negotiated purchase and sales agreements, conducted due diligence and market research, and spearheaded financial modeling as an acquisition and financial analyst at Burnham Pacific (REIT).

Yan is proficient in both Mandarin and Cantonese. She was educated at UCLA, from which she holds a BA.
